The name Gazab means Fabulous, and that is the promise made to every guest. Gazab was founded to share Indian food in a fresh and exciting way right here in New York City. Located at 179 Essex St, New York, NY 10002, the restaurant offers a casual and welcoming space for everyone.
Why Gazab Started
Created by an experienced chef-and-owner team, Gazab was built to serve fabulous Indian food in a way the city had never seen before. Every dish is made from scratch with fresh ingredients, staying true to tradition while also bringing new ideas to the table.

Amandeep Singh Thakur - FOUNDER
Meet our founder Amandeep Singh Thakur. Originally hailing from the multicultural & colorful state of Punjab in the northern region of India, Amandeep moved to NYC in 2016. The first step in his brilliant culinary career was working as a Chef in a Michelin star Indian restaurant. Growing up as a kid, Aman was always enchanted by the multifaceted world of food in his home state of Punjab.
Chef Vamshi Adi - EXECUTIVE CHEF & FOUNDER
Meet our Executive Chef & Founder Vamshi Krishna Adi, the youngest Indian immigrant Chef-Owner in United States. He is one of the 2 faces behind Gazab. Originally hailing from the culturally diverse city of Hyderabad in the southern part of India, Vamshi moved to the states in 2017 with a single goal in mind, to become a chef.
